Coach,

Here. We. Go. I am fired up to share with you the first Texas Way Monthly Emphasis!

This is the first of nine state-wide points of emphasis.

Every month on the 20th, we will roll out a new emphasis for The Texas Way. In this release is everything you need to lead your team and community in The Texas Way this month. As a state we are going to emphasize the simple idea that there are NO EXCUSES for bad sportsmanship.

Playing, coaching, and supporting The Texas Way means owning our actions, respecting the game, and refusing to shift blame when challenges come.

Excuses are easy, ownership is rare—but ownership is what transforms teams, families, and communities.

To help you drive this message home, we’ve added a short video in your Texas Way Coach’s curriculum on the No Excuses theme. Remember: You will need to watch at least 70% of the Texas Way videos to be considered “engaged.”

Also, we’ve equipped you with a full set of resources ready to use with your teams and communities. In this month’s drop, you’ll find:

✅ Team Meeting Guide for “No Excuses”

✅ Five Quick Phrases for coaches to reinforce the theme

✅ Parent/Fan Letter (print or email-ready)

✅ Four Shareable Social Media Graphics

✅ Three Pre-drafted Social Media Post Suggestions

✅ Two Shareable Video Clips from the “No Excuses” message

✅ Custom Phone Wallpaper for athletes and fans

✅ Two Poster Sizes for locker rooms

Each of these tools is designed to make it easy for you to bring this month’s emphasis to life—in the locker room, on the field, and in the stands.

Let’s lead the way by refusing excuses, taking ownership, and showing the power of accountability. Together, we can ensure that when people see Texas high school sports, they see more than a game—they see the standard.

As always, if there is anything I can do to help you or if you would like to share your story of how you are implementing The Texas Way, shoot me an email: mackey@2words.tv
